They are resistant to harsh weather, undemanding, adaptable, good natured, mature extremely early and have a high carcass yield with nicely marbled meat. Angus are renowned as a carcass breed. They are used widely in crossbreeding to improve carcass quality and milking ability. Angus females calve easily and have good calf rearing ability. They are also used as a genetic dehorner as the polled gene is passed on as a dominant characteristic.

The basis of our economy is the breeding of Angus cattle. Both red and black individuals can be found in our breeding.
Kun Ranch has priority breeder status with the British Beef Cattle Breeders Association and is an active member of the American Angus Association and the Red Angus Association of America.

Using the world's leading genetics, our main goal is to breed individuals with good production characteristics and at the same time excellent meat quality.
Quality of the beef is tenderness and marbling. Both based on the breed and genomic values. Our breeding program based on this selection.
Our goal is the breed a good and healthy beef producer cows and bulls.
We keep our Angus cattle for beef, so we focus on beef quality such as Marbling, Carcass weight, Ribeye Area, $G index.
The quality of the beef is based on marbling and tenderness. Both of them based on genetics. We select our cows for these merits.
We select our animals separately for fatness and the ability to maintain condition. Individuals with poor condition are constantly and mercilessly removed from breeding.

Requirements:
The animals' meat quality values (marbling, carcass weight %, fat, valuable meat) and genomic values for growth vigor must be in the Top 25%.
Black Angus: requires current sires to be 158 $B or higher and 0.64 Marb or higher.
Red Angus: current sires have to average in the Top 37.5% for ADG, Marb, CW and REA. If they meet that criteria but any of the 4 traits are in the Bottom 25% then they don’t qualify.
Any breed of cattle can qualify from any breeder as long as they meet the thresholds and are 50% Angus.
